As lead quantitative researcher, Elsie manages a range of complex projects from beginning to end. She has conducted large-scale research exploring customer satisfaction, brand tracking, pricing and efficacy, amongst other areas. Her clients include the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Wellcome, Imperial College London, Nature Research, LEGO, LSE and Cambridge University Press.
She’s experienced in the use of advanced statistical techniques such as conjoint, MaxDiff and segmentation. She is highly proficient in Snap Surveys and Q Research software, which has allowed her creative control of eSurvey development and analysis.
Elsie’s strong analytical and writing skills also extend to qualitative research projects. She is a confident presenter having done so regularly at board level. She is able to bring findings to life with her visualisation skills.
Elsie has a keen interest in sustainability. She has conducted research to understand what signals sustainability to consumers, to test sustainability propositions, and to identify differences in audience perceptions of sustainability. She has also led on projects exploring mental health, harassment and discrimination, and educational gaps amongst minority groups. She has written a number of white papers on topics such as greenwashing and eco-anxiety, and is passionate about bringing the voice of consumers to organisations seeking to be more sustainable.
Elsie joined Shift with a First-class degree in Sociology. Elsie has completed the MRS Advanced Certificate in Market and Social Research and she is an MRS certified member.
