Following an undergraduate degree in psychology, Georgia stayed with the University of Sheffield to complete a master’s degree in psychological research methods. During both courses, she had a particular focus on social psychology and, for her master’s dissertation, conducted a longitudinal quantitative research project investigating how the mental health and wellbeing of 2000 UK adolescents was affected by the COVID-19 lockdowns, looking at a variety of factors such as their age and socio-economic status. Prior to Shift, Georgia worked in paediatric mental healthcare at a children’s hospital.
