Mariam works at Shift in a support capacity, assisting on qualitative, quantitative and mixed-method projects. She has worked with clients such as the General Medical Council, Harper Collins and the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

Mariam has a background in psychology. She completed her MA at the University of St Andrews and her MSc at the London School of Economics, where her thesis involved interviews to investigate perceptions of human trafficking, with a focus on feminist theory. Before Shift, Mariam worked with SEN students in underprivileged schools in London.
