Joining Shift Insight in 2017 as a Research Assistant, Nicola has since become a Research Executive where she’s moved away from working in a supporting role toward project managing on a number of large and small projects. She has ample experience working on both qualitative and quantitative projects involving methods such as data collection, analysis and reporting. These projects have created valuable insight for clients including Office for Students, The Guardian, and Crossref. Other responsibilities include developing in-house processes and training at Shift Insight, as well as organizing social events.

Nicola has a strong theoretical research background by gaining Distinction in the MRS Certificate in Market and Social Research and a degree in History and Sociology from Oxford Brookes University. Having worked previously in social research, Nicola is experienced in respondent recruitment and interviewing and enjoys the challenges which come with these.
