Current vacancy (closes 15 December): Quantitative Research Assistant
We’re on the lookout for a Quantitative Research Assistant or Junior Research Executive to join our friendly and dynamic team. Due to current circumstances, this would initially require remote working (laptop and other necessary equipment will be provided), but would eventually be done from our well-connected office in Central London’s vibrant Islington.
The role provides a great opportunity to get involved in every aspect of varied research projects, which will provide you with a breadth of experience and allow you to develop unique specialisms. This includes:
- Building quantitative eSurveys using SNAP survey software
- Monitoring survey response rates
- Managing data suppliers and sourcing the right sample
- Supporting the quantitative team in processing survey data
- Getting to grips with Q and Displayr analysis software
- Involvement in the analysis and reporting of quantitative data
- Exploring / devising new processes and training up the team
- Identifying publicly available data sources
- Contributing to and editing quantitative reports
- Creating presentations
- Project management
The work is project-based, fast-changing and challenging, but we won’t throw you in at the deep end – our young team of 18 permanent researchers are always here to provide you with the training and help you need.
The right candidate would likely be a graduate with strong communication and organisational skills, a good command of Excel, a positive attitude and readiness to learn new skills. You’ll have excellent attention to detail and strong initiative to find solutions to problems. You’ll have a decent Maths GCSE and ideally A level. You’ll have enjoyed the research elements of your undergraduate degree and have an interest in education, publishing, sustainability, and/or health. Prior experience in quantitative research is desired, but not essential.
